Happy Sunday!!!

I've been pondering a single lo all day.  I spent several hours coloring a Pink Paislee acetate sheet, I've been blog hopping looking for inspiration, I've even asked my husband to help.  Why you ask.....because I can't find it in me to scrap about me.  Crazy huh!?  Good think I have until the end of the month to complete this challenge.  A challenge it is!

Today I have a cute little altered journal I made last week and haven't had the opportunity to post.  I used PK Glitz, along with some of my favorite Websters trim, and FTLOA stamps.  I embossed the lettering and colored a few of the letters with copics, just to make them pop.  Isn't it cute!

Papertrey Princess Challenge

Hello everyone!

Today is my turn to host the Papertrey Princess Challenge.  Even though this is a Papertrey Challenge we invite you to join along and get inky with us.

Challenge: My challenge is for you to lift a project from the Papertrey gallery and make it your own.  Please be sure to post a link or photo of the project you chose and to give credit to the artist.

The project I chose is this adorable notebook from Lisa Johnson.  I chose this project because I've had this stamp set for a while and had yet to get it inky.

I made a similar design into a Birthday card.

Leave a comment and link your project for a chance at a RAK from me:)

Happy Scrapping!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday ~Cool Treat

Peach Melba is one of my favorite cool summer treats.  It combines fresh fruits of the season, preserved raspberries and icecream! Yum!

Raspberry Preserve:

4 cups cleaned raspberries
4 cups sugar
1 t. butter

Using a heavy pot cook raspberries and sugar over medium heat until slightly bubbling, then add butter.  Cook for one minute longer stirring constantly.  Remove from heat and place in sterilized jars and seal.

Peaches:
Wash and split in half 4 peaches.  Do not remove skin.
Sprinkle split side of peach with sugar and grill on medium until warm and soft.

Place cut side up in bowl, add a generous portion of vanilla icecream and top with a dollop of raspberry preserve.

I made this little gift tag to give some preserve to a friend, but it would make a lovely house warming gift. Just putthe preserve in a little basket with an icecream scoop, recipe and some fresh peaches.

Enjoy!

Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Me Monday ~ Creepy Crawlers

When I think of creepy crawlers I think of spiders, which in turns makes me think of Halloween.  Not to mention I love making fun treats for the little one in the neighborhood.  Since it's to early to add the candy I made this little treat bag topper with some ribbon treats.  But for Halloween be sure to fill your bags with lots of sweet treats for the ghouls and gobblins that find your front door.

Thanks for stopping by and see you next week for another summery sweet treat!

BoBunny is just Awesome!

I was looking through my stash and am down to just 2 BoBunny Papers....how can that be!? Good thing I'll be ordering very soon! Don't you just love all the new releases this time of year! Anyway, I did 2 pages today in addition to the cards I did in the last post. Talk about flowing mojo in the house!

Now to figure out what to do with those 2 papers, I think I feel some cards in the works!

Thanks for stopping by.

Digi Cards

I've upgraded to PSE 8 yesterday so thought I would do Jessica Sprague's card class this week to get used to using it.  I have to say compared to PS7, it's heaven!  I did all 4 days cards in about an hour, and I switched up some digi papers from FTLOA.  Here they are:

Pioneer Woman meets my style....

I love the web, it bring so many unique and talented individuals so much closer together.  Today I enjoyed an overcast moring outdoors picking some wild raspberries.  There aren't alot ready yet, but enough to make my girls a nice dessert for our Friday scrappy get together.  I happened to be searching for an idea of how to use them and came across one of my favorite sites to visit, Pioneer Woman and had to chuckle.  Looking at her raspberry cobler recipe next to her fence post auger story I had to chuckle.  With so many fence rows I can't believe she didn't go and pick her raspberries.  There on the counter were store bought containers.  I jumped on my horse (ok, Polaris 800 4 WD 4 wheeler) and headed out along the fence rows (ok, Christmas Tree fields) and came up with a nice little basket of berries to make something fabulous with.

I started with a white cake mix and added a few incredients to make some light an fluffy cupcakes.  The smell yummy!

1 Pillsbury Moist Supreme White Cake Mix (you can use any brand)
3 egg whites
2 T butter
2 t. vanilla extract (or lemon extract) next time I will add both.
1 1/3 cup water
I mix with a stand mixer on high until it's light and fluffy.  Then spoon into lined cupcake pans and bake for 16 minutes at 350*.

For filling I used a small container of heavy whipping cream and add 1/3 cup of confectioners sugar.  Whip until it forms peaks.  Don't forget to taste it while mixing to  make sure it's sweet to your liking.

Set about a half cup of berries aside for garnish.

Sprinkle a 1 1/2 cup berries with 1/2 cup of sugar.  Then slightly mash with fork.  Gently fold into the whipped cream.

Place cupcake in serving dish.  You can cut them up or leave whole or half it.  Just make it look pretty, then top with a dollop of the whipped cream and garnish with a few berries.  Enjoy!

I'll add the finished photos tomorrow when I finish putting them together.

Fathers Day Mini for my hubby.

I made this mini while scrapping yesterday with Ellen and Andrea, always love when the girls can hang out!  I used a Punky Sprouts  mini that was part of the For The Love of Art June Kit. If you haven't checked out the new kits and stamps at FTLOA you are missing a fun new site, and awesome clear stamps.  The gallery is full of great inspiration and there are tons of challenges and contests on the forums!  See you there!

Happy Father's Day to my Dad and wonderful husband!  Love you!

MMSC56, Using produts from your stash...

Sometimes I just like to play with items already in my stash.  For this project I wanted to try to make my own color wash type product.  Now I have a whole load of items in my scrap room kitchen that I pulled out to give a try.  First let's see how blending solution and odorless mineral spirits work .

Add equal parts of ink (in this case I use a copic refill, buy you could use any alcohol reinker you  have on hand)  and blending solution to a mini mister (or any small spray bottle).  In the second mini mister I mixed equal parts of ink and OMS.  This is the result:

Pretty nice, but I like a little sparkle so I add some PK Glitz glitter to the bottles and this is what it looks like.  Kind of hard to see here, but it's yummy!

Next I wanted to make a water based product so I pulled out the food coloring and mixed it with water, then used it to tea dye a scrap piece of trim.
I sprayed it randomly, then rinsed it under water and dried.  Then I made it into an embellishment to use on a card.

Thanks for stopping by, and have a great day!
