Sugar Pea Designs Top Pick December

I was so excited to be top pic at Sugar Pea Designs for December I thought I would share my Christmas tag here as well.  I will admit, Instagram has made me a lazy blogger.  It's so much quicker to post to Instagram and link it to FB that I often forget to take the time to post here.  I'm going to aim to get back to the roots of card sharing and try to post a lot more.  I know I have tons of cards that I haven't posted so I'll try to add a few more each day until I'm caught up.

Now for this post, I had to reclaim the photos from Instagram to post,  and they were already on gifts when I took the photos so I couldn't retake them.  But I think they are awesomely cute anyway:)

I'm going to try to make a few tags a week so when Christmas comes back around I won't feel rushed to get them made.  Let me know how and when you make your holiday tags and card.  I need all the inspiration I can get.

Drum roll Please!!!!
I now get to display this awesome badge on my blog!

Thank so much SugarPea Designs!

Making my own coloring pages.

So many stamps so little time.  But one thing I definitely enjoy is coloring.  So for these cards I make my own coloring pages with stamps I had on hand.

For this first card I used this beautiful floral image from Concord and 9th.  I colored with copic markers and added some white gel pen.  A perfect flat card for mailing.

This was actually a card I made before the holidays.  I couldn't resist this nostalgic set from Inkadinkado.  I'm pretty sure I had a Rudolf and Friends coloring book when I was younger.

Sugar Pea Designs Love

Hello everyone,
I feel like I need to do some catch up blogging. It seems cards I've been making have been going out in the mail very quickly so blogging them hasn't happened.  That and the holidays and I traveled to spend 10 days with a friend.  So life has been busy.

I love this cute little set from Sugar Pea Designs.  I have a thing for cute little penguins and I just love the size of this stamp for the Happy Mail set.   Perfect for coloring for everyone.  I used copic markers to color this penguin and finished the card by adding some sequins.

I love making matching enveloped for my cards.  This set has all the perfect elements to do just that.
I made a few of these envelopes using my Misti Stamping Tool.

The envelopes are colored with colored pencils.

Thanks so much for stopping by and see you soon!

Split Coast Stampers Mystery Image Swap

Happy New Year!

I joined a monthly swap on Split Coast Stampers.  Each month a different Member of the group send out an image for everyone to make a card from.  Our January image came from Imke.  She sent us Avery Elle Sweet Sweet image along with some sequins. I love these fun images and had so much fun coloring them with lots of copic markers.

For this image I added some white dots with a gel pen to the chest of each bird.

And for this card I mixed up the colors just a bit and again added some details with the white gel pen. I also added some white to the straw hut to give it some dimension.
The patterned paper is from Studio Calico.

Thanks Imke for the sweet images!
And thanks for organizing the swap.

Have a great week!
