Papertrey Ink Release Day 3 challenge.

Today is a snow day here in my part of PA!
And we have a lot of snow! At least 2 feet and it's still snowing.
So we have been having a family game day.
Although, I took a break from all the fun to stamp some of my favorite flowers.
One of the first multi layer stamps sets that I purchased was PTI The Sweet Life.
It's gorgeous, and I still love it and use it often.

TCP Tuesday #333 Water

Hi all,
I'm back again today with another card I made during the 30 day coloring challenge.
Today's card is for The Cat's Pajamas Stamps

I sure could use some surfing weather!
Instead we have about 8 inches of snow and blustering winds!
With more yet to come!

I colored this cute Surfer Buns with copic markers.
For the die cut circle I used the TClP cloud die as a mask.

I

I cut the TCP wave die twice and just layered it, using foam tape for the top layer.

The wavy stitched edge is a Simon Says stamp die, and the patterned paper is PTI.

Papertrey Ink March Release Day 2 Challenge

Today I wanted to share with you my project for the Papetrey Ink March Release Day 2 Challenge.  Today's challenge is to create a new project that incorporates multiples of a single shape, stamp or die cut.

I pulled out a well loved Papertrey Ink Butterfly die as my main image.

I die cut the butterflies from paper from the Papertrey Ink Pink Patterns Collection, then added the center elements that came with a past SAF kit 1940's.

The base and green gingham paper is cut from the PTI Noted A2 scalloped die collection.

The sentiment is form Graceful Greetings 2 stamp set.

I finished by adding sequins with a dot of glossy accents on top.

MAKE IT MONDAY #277: NAIL POLISH MARBLING

Hi all!

A little mixed media project for you here today.
I know, I am not a get messy kinda gal unless it comes to coloring Easter eggs
and baking Christmas cookies! Then it's ok, to an extent ;)
I don't like messes.  I have to say I even like my house to be clean and in order to scrap.
That being said my studio is the messiest room in our home.

So today I took on the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge, Nail Polish Marbling.
Years ago I remember this being a pinterest thing for nails.
We even tried it at a scrap booking get together.
It was messy, and only a few nails actually turned out kinda nice.
So, let's see how this will go.

You can watch the video here and join the challenge by clicking here.

I used a disposable take out food container, so the mess would be easy to clean up.
And tooth picks to swirl the polish in the water.
I dipped several sheets of white and kraft in hopes of getting one that was usable.

These are the papers I dipped in various colored polishes.

And this is the card I made.
I chose to use the one on kraft cardstock.

I added a strip of paper to coordinate with the nail polish to add the sentiment.

And there you have my mixed media card using nail polish marbling.

Thanks so much for stopping by!

Papertrey Ink 10th Anniversary Celebration Day 2

Oh my, if you want to see lots of pretty photos be sure to check out the post today on the PTI blog.  Today is the first day of the guest blogger Rebecca Luminarias. Rebecca has lots of inspiration for handmade packaging that is just beautiful! It's also the second day of the Papertrey Ink 10th anniversary Celebration. Today's challenge is all about gift wrapping, and the challenge was to make a tag or gift wrapping.  I chose to make a gift card holder that could be tucked inside of a card.

I started with a mini kraft envelope. The embellished with a doily, patterned paper and twine.

I finished the design with a stamped image from the garden gate kit.

So pretty!

I really should make these more for inside of cards, they are so quick and easy and look so much prettier then most of the envelopes that come with gift cards.

I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge.

Thanks so much for stopping by.

#thedailymarker30day coloring challenge day 3

Hello everyone,
I had a very limited amount of time to color today so I chose this image I had previously printed to do some quick copic coloring.
Ok, so I'll confess, I had a spa day with my daughter today.
It was lovely!
I went in with hopes of adding spring colors to my nails, but by the time I was done with my massage it was snowing again, and it's the coldest day of the year here.
So I went with a traditional color for me and will hopefully feel more in a spring mood
for our next visit.

I also have a request if you would like to mail one of your beautifully colored cards.

Just a get well for the lovely mother of a family friend. She had a fall a few weeks ago, it was outside and quite a while before she was found with several broken bones including a hip. She has had several setbacks in her recovery but I know she would love to be showered with cards if you would like. I have permission from her daughter to share her name and address.

And here is the quick card I made today.

I printed a couple of these stamps as soon as I bought them.
Perfect for a quick few minutes to unwind and color.

And here is a close up.

I hope the flu, chicken pox or just the nasty virus that has been going around stays away from your family.  But if you and yours are suffering I hope you feel better soon!

I am playing along with the 30 Day Coloring Challenge.

Sugar Pea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #29 and #daileymarker30day day 2!

Hi all!  So for today's coloring I colored this cute little critter from Sugar Pea Designs.

February is over so we can give the groundhog a little break, besides he was kinda wrong this year as it's been more like spring weather then winter here in PA!

See, isn't he just the cutest!

And the inside says Gopher-it!

For the layout and color scheme I used the Sugar Pea Designs Mix it Up Challenge #29.
Such pretty spring colors.
And one of my favorite flowers.
To play along check out the challenge on the

An of course this is my coloring for day 2 of the 30 day coloring challenge.

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #276 and #thedailymarker30day

Hello everyone!
I'm so excited to be playing along with the 30 Day coloring challenge again.
I love, love, love to color!

Today's coloring projects are for the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge.
This week the sweet Mellissa challenged us to use kraft card stock and colored pencils.
I just love how my projects turned out.

For this project I stamped just the detail images from the PTI Floral Sketches stamp set on a piece of kraft card stock that wasn't quite big enough for the die.
I love when scraps work perfectly for a project!
I then used my colored pencils to finish the image.

I inked the edge of the first layer of kraft card stock with PTI Fresh Snow ink.

Then added a layer of PTI vellum card stock.
And finished with a strip of card stock and twine to finish the card.

This card I made to send to a dear friend that had surgery yesterday.
I wish her a very speedy recovery!

I feel like I went very old school for this card.
I stamped and embossed the image from the PTI Pretty Peonies stamp set with white embossing powder.  The colored the images with colored pencils.  This stamp set has gotten so much use over the years, but I'm challenging myself to pull out older sets and make sure they see ink.

I started with a card base make from the PTI Noted A2 die.
Then layered cardstock and my colored image panel, the die cut and sentiment is from the Pretty Peonies stamp set as well.
