International Card Exchange

Hello everyone,
Today I'm sharing my cards that I mailed to my swap partner for the CCC internaltional card exchange on Debi's blog.   The card should have arrived by now so I'm going to go ahead and post today in hopes of hearing from my partner soon.

I used the Papertrey Ink Make it Market Kit, Don't Forget To Write.  I think my very favorite past time is actually sending cards and letters so when I saw this kit I knew I just needed it.

I just love how these cards turned out and I hope my swap partner enjoys her package.

Here are a few more photos of my cards.

Have a great day!

Altenew Inspiration Challenge - May

Hello everyone, hope your enjoying beautiful weather this week.

Today, to escape the first warm day we have had hit over 90 degrees,
I played along with the Altenew Inspiration challenge.

                                            Altenew_Inspiration Challenge_May

The sentiment and the background represent the brown in the photo. I used chocolate ink. And the circle represents the circular pattern in the photo.  Of course I added a blended masked colored background with some water splotches to represent the blue and the textured feel of the photo.

I haven't figured out how to actually make the daisy look white, yet still show on a white background.  I thought grey but it just didn't work very well.  So I used the lightest yellow ink I had and stamped off on scratch paper before I stamped each layer.

I finished with a sentiment from the Altenew anniversary set also stamped in brown.

While I was trying to find the best location to photograph this card
I found this little guy out enjoying the sun.

Mother's Day Gift Set

I made a card set for this weeks Papertrey Ink Make it Monday and wanted to finish it up by making a holder for the cards.  I received the download for the Make It Market kit and thought I would make a cut file out of the pattern for the box.  I can cut the perfect box every time I need a gift holder for A2 size cards in no time at all.  And the Silhouette cuts so much nicer then I do by hand.

I think the box could hold up to 6 cards with envelopes nicely.

This is the close up of the slide that holds the box closed.

And this is what the finish box looks like.

I'm giving it to my Mother for Mother's Day along with her gift  that I wrapped and tied them together with a ribbon.

Thaks for stopping by and hope you enjoy!

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday

I played along with this weeks Make It Monday and made this card set.
I started by stenciling the backgrounds using stencils.  I then stamped the flowers in the same colors I used in the backgrounds so the colors would all match.  I added a different color flower to each card background.

I finished by stamping the sentiment adding the sub sentiment in the coordinating color so each card would have all three colors represented.  I love how they turned out.  I then made coordinating envelopes by stamping a flower on both the back and front of the envelope.

Altenew Video Challenge 6

Hello.  I hope your spring is a little less wet then ours.  I feel like it's been raining for days!  But that is a perfect time to spend in the studio.  So today I tried another video for the Altenew Video Challenge.  I will apologize in advance for the editing software watermark.  I'm trying to figure out the best and easier way to edit videos on a budget.

The video looks longer then what it is.  Even though I edited it down to around 5 minutes, it didn't get rid of the blank video at the end.  (again, a learning experience, bare with me!)

Any suggestions on video editing I would love to hear them.

Thanks so much for stopping by and hope video blog again soon!
