Dare To Get Dirty Week!

What is that you ask?  It's the fun filled week of paper challenges over at Split Coast Stampers.  Each day this will there will be 5-6 challenges that are only for Fan Club members.

Today I combined the DTGD challenge along with Flourishes Timeless Tuesday Challenge and my Flybaby friends challenge (to not include a sentiment) for the following note card.

The Flourishes challenge was to use...

Old, New, Borrowed & Blue“:
  • OLD – use something older from your product stash (paper, embellishments, etc.)  I used echo park paper from my stash.
  • NEW - the newest stamp that your just acquired, and Garden picks for my stamps.
  • BORROWED – scraplift or CASE a “design” from our Flourishes Gallery (*PLEASE link & credit the project inspiration piece from our gallery.) and this fabulous card http://flourishes.org/gallery/?p=8958
  • BLUE – add something blue on it! and I added a piece of blue twine.

Thanks so much for stopping by and I'll be back shortly with a ton of cards from my crafting fun all this week!

Flourishes Designer Focus Challenge

Hi everyone!  Hope your week is going well and you are out and about celebrating hump day.  ( I have to laugh every time I see the camel commercial).

I've been busy cleaning and organizing, you would swear I was nesting, but I think having a year of not doing much along the lines of house work put me in the mood to do a deep spring type cleaning.  I'm down to just my floors and inside cupboards needing to be cleaned now.  And let me tell you the house feels like a breathe of fresh air already.

Today I played along with the Flourishes Designer focus. Heather creates such beautiful cards it's truly easy to be inspired by them. I truly CASED this card, with the exception of using a different paper line and added a few Queen and Company embellishments.

Enabling list
Stamps Flourishes Garden Gate
Silhouete Cut for Flourishes Garden Gate
Copic Markers
Momento Ink
Paper-MME Indie chic
Cardstock- MFT
Twine-PTI

Thanks so much for stopping by and see you all soon!

Flourishes Black and White challenge. FLLCBC1

Hello everyone!  It's Monday already, where did the weekend go?  It was a busy weekend even though we didn't have much to do.  I'm not sure where the time went.  I did manage to get my craft room all put away after traveling and cropping, only to find I am down to 4 sheets of white card stock with DTGD starting the 27th I'll need to remedy that quick!  Are you playing along with Splitcoast Stampers DTGD?  This will be my first year, and I'm really looking forward to it.  It's a full week of multiple challenge every day, with some pretty fun prizes up for grabs, so I'm told.  If you aren't familiar with the member companies stop by and take a look you won't be disappointed.  And if your anything like me you'll find a few more craft supplies you need!

Today I played along with the Flourishes Birthday challenge to make a project using Black and White.

There are challenges going on all month long to celebrate Flourishes 6th Birthday.  Visit the Flourishes blog to learn more about the celebration!

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a wonderful week!

Happy Thursday!

We are in the middle of a heat wave here this week.  It is t be in the 90s all week! I love summer, but it is now just to hot to be out long at all.  I so need to do a garden update.  I'm so excited to have pumpkins started.  The peas have finished.  We are overrun with radishes and we are reaping the benefits of fresh herbs.

It's taken me all week to recoup from the Indiana trip but it was so worth it.  I had such a great time meeting my crafty friend Beth.  She is such a joy.  While we were at her house I had the opportunity to play with her massive stash of Stampin Up supplies.  They have some lovely dies and embossing folders.  And this is the card I came up with.

Very monochromatic, but I was at a loss as to how else to use this die and stamp set.

Yesterday I spent the day at my friends Ellen's house and had the opportunity to see the Silhouette in action.  I cut a ton of files to go with my Flourishes sets.  Now I just need to get busy and make something with them.  Stay tuned for those projects.

It's been a busy, but very fun few weeks for me:)  Thanks for taking the time to stop in and say Hi! and have a fabulous weekend!

And say Happy Birthday to my Mom and Amber if you see them!

MFTWSC132

Hi all hope your hump day is going well! I've spent some of the morning here in Indy getting inky.  That was right after I learned it gets very hot here very early! I was headed our for a walk but the heat and humidity put and end to that quick so I hit the dreadmill.  Much easier to torture yourself in the air conditioned hotel.

This weeks sketch has lots of fun layers.  You can see the sketch On the MFT blog or the Split Coast stampers MFT forum.

I used products from a card kit swap along with the MFT Washi tape and Pretty Poppies stamps and dies.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great day!

Indy fun! (With no race cars)

MHi all, I'm in the beautiful state of Indiana staying just outside of the city for a week.  I thought I would try to blog today using the blogger app. I've not had much success in the past so bare with me if I have to fix links when I get home.

It was a long drive to get here, almost 10 hours. My job was easy, all I did was ride, read and snack. And when I say snack I mean I ate everything I could get my hands on! Then I felt like crap and crashed as soon as I hit the hotel room. Well, right after a few minutes in the jacuzzi anyway.

I was most excited for my first day here. This was my first opportunity to meet one of my Split Coast Stamper friends.  We had such a fun day. She picked me up at the hotel for our little adventure.  We started by shopping at Hobby Lobby, then picked up her adorable children for lunch at Applebee's ( it wasn't the boys first choice, but Mom ruled and they survived an adult restaurant! Lol)

Then we went back to Beth's and spent a little time in her beautiful home playing with paper. She is a Stampin Up rep and has stamping get togethers, if you are looking for a rep I highly recommend her! She has stamping get togethers, that I hope to visit this week.

This is Beth and I saying goodbye at the hotel, isn't she the cutest:) love her smile!

That evening we went to downtown Indy for dinner. I was totally expecting New York or Philly kind of grungy city ( don't get me wrong, love them) but Indy is so clean and really pretty.  Parking is plentiful and right on the street. And cheap! We dined at Barcelona Tapas.  I would highly recommend if you get the opportunity. The food was yummy and the white sangria yummier!

Then we walked to subzero. Which is a nitrogen ice cream shop. Very yummy stuff! And fun to watch your ice cream being made right in front of you. This is my beautiful daughter waiting on her cookie dough twin ice cream.  It was yummy!

That concluded our day.  Lots of fun!  Can't wait to head back out tonight to check out more of the area.

Today I'm in the hotel and again playing with paper.  I made this card using the Mojo Monday sketch # 301.

I made this card using Products from a PTI card kit swap. Thanks Carrie for the beautiful kit!

Have a great day! And thanks for stopping by!

Happy 4th of July

Hi everyone!  Happy 4th of July!  Hope you have a safe and happy holiday!  This week is our local fireman's carnival.  It has become a bit of a family event.  My Dad organizes the roasted peanut stand, my husband roasts nuts several nights and my Mom and I socialize:)

Tuesday night there was a Pet and Toy parade and my daughter went with a friend and her little one.

And today was the big parade.  My husband drove a tractor and trailer and my daughter and her friends could sell popcorn, peanuts and Carmel corn along the parade route.  Aren't they patriotic.

While they were out in the heat of the day I spent some time playing along with Mojo Modays 300th challenge celebration.  You can see the festivities on the Mojo Monday blog here

And this is my card.

I'm also entering this in....
1.  A.R.T # 3-color combo

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fabulous week!
