30 day coloring challenge Week 1

challenge_graphic-nov16_16x24

Hello everyone, I'm having so much fun taking the time to color each day.  I hope you can join me.  If you want more information on the challenge visit the beautiful Kathy's Racoosin's blog The Daily Marker.  For several years she has been doing this awesome challenge and it just grows and grows each year.  To play along just upload a card to Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #thedailymarker30day.  Here are my cards from the first week.

I started with this image in my post card coloring book.
I used spectrum noir colored pencils.

Next up is the beautiful card with dies from Concord and 9th someone had gifted me.
The sentiment is PTI.
I water colored the die cut flowers.

Next up I decided to color these cute little doggies from Sugar Pea Designs.
I just love them!

The Cat's Pajamas challenged us this week to make a tag, or something with a tag.

I just love this kitty in the big sweater, so I made this tag and sent it off to someone with a little pre Christmas gift already.

And I couldn't wait to send some happy mail to my card swap partner, so she should be getting this cute little penguin today.

And I decorated the envelope to send it.

And there you have my first week of coloring for 10 minutes a day.  I think it was a pretty successful week and lots of fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by and see you next week for my coloring adventure!

Altenew August Inspiration Challenge

Hello everyone,
Happy Monday!
Today I am celebrating 24 years of being married to my favorite person!
My husband is truly my best friend and we have grown so much over the years.
Even as I sit here crafting and blogging he is making us dinner.
How does it get any better then that!

I love the colors in this months inspiration challenge at Altenew.

I pulled out my Altenew Red Cosmos Mini Cube inks and they matched perfectly!

No Flamingos in the house so I decided to go with flowers.
I know, shocking!

I masked off the area for the sentiment, then stamped the roses and leaves.
I finished by adding some small flowers from the Altenew set and using the same ink and a brush to color them in. Then I stamped the sentiment in Moon Rock and added some lines with a silver gel pen.  I finished by adding some dots using a brush and water along with the Moon Rock ink.
I finished by layering the card with coordinating pink and red cardstock.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week!

MFT Camp Create

And our final day at Camp Create has come to an end.
I had a great time and want to take a second to thank MFT stamps for hosting camp create and being so generous with prizes!

Today's camp craft is Shadow Stamping.
I've never stamped shadows, I've always used markers to make my shadows so this was a new technique for me.

Print
Another one layer card for ease of mailing.
I stamped the image in white and then stamped the same image in the same color as the patterned paper.  I also tried shadow stamping with my sentiment.

And with that I have earned all the camp create badges for this week!

 Print

And here is one last look at my group of cards for camp create.

Thanks again MFT for a fun week!

Hugs and love, until next time!

Camp week is quickly coming to an end and who doesn't like a good
Bonfire to celebrate an awesome week!
Bonfire Craft – Single Layer Savvy

I love the simplicity of a single layer card.  I stamped the images from Sweet Rose then colored with polychromas pencils.  Doesn't get any easier then that!
And now I have a card perfect to mail from camp.

And the badge for attending the closing Bonfire.
And all my badges this week!

MFT Camp Create! Divine Dry Embossing

Hello Campers!
We are well into the dog days of summer here in PA,
so it's a perfect time to camp out in the craft room for another camp create challenge.
Today's challenge was to use dry embossing on your project.

Print

I chose the die-namics stitched jumbo fishtail banner stax to cut a banner,
then I embossed the next size down for my dry embossed element.

I layered the fish tail banner over patterned paper from the lucky prints patterned paper.
I love the tiny dots and hearts in this patterned paper pack.

The stamped flowers are from Sweet Roses, I used water and a brush to soften the color,
then I stamped  the stems from Pretty Poppies.
I finished with the sentiment from Sweet Roses.

Today I earned this badge for creating a dry embossed project.
So far I have earned the following badges! Go ME! Woohoo!

And that's all from my studio for this day of Camp Create!
Have a great day, and I hope your keeping cool!

Enablers List
