Happy Hump Day!

Hope your week is going well.  It seems we are having an extended spring here.  I don't think we have had more then 2 days in a row without rain.  But today the sun is shining and the birds are chirping.  Makes me very happy:)

Today my craft share is for the Flourishes Textures of Nature Challenge.

HOW TO PLAY:  Create something with an outdoorsy texture in mind – or use an element from nature as part of your design.  It could be the texture in an embossing folder that has woodgrain, leaves or vines, it
could be a leaf rubbing behind your image, something glossy like rain or shiny like a berry.  The interpretation is up to you!  If you play along with us, you could win Flourishes entire June Stamp Release!  If you upload to SCS please use the keyword FLLCJUN13.  You can enter as many times as you like, but we want you to know if you use your Flourishes stamps, your entry counts twice!  You have until Friday June 14, 2013 at 5 PM EST to enter.   Enjoy exploring those nature textures!

I stamped the image on vellum with distress ink.  The stamp is from Flourishes Garden Picks and the button is wood grain.  I think kraft and the  burlap is great for adding natural texture.

I had to take a picture with some blooming flowers as my background for this one.

Thanks so much for stopping by and see you Friday!

  10. This is such a creative take on the challenge, Joyce; I love your cutout frame with the vellum underlay and the green burlap and the wood butterfly. I used a wood butterfly (borrowed from another card) because I think they are adorable. I don't know where you get them, though. Wishing you really good luck on this week's challenge, gf!
