Sugar Pea Designs Mix It Up Challenge #29 and #daileymarker30day day 2!

Hi all!  So for today's coloring I colored this cute little critter from Sugar Pea Designs.  

February is over so we can give the groundhog a little break, besides he was kinda wrong this year as it's been more like spring weather then winter here in PA!  

See, isn't he just the cutest! 

And the inside says Gopher-it! 

For the layout and color scheme I used the Sugar Pea Designs Mix it Up Challenge #29.

Such pretty spring colors.  

And one of my favorite flowers.

Papertrey Ink Make It Monday #276 and #thedailymarker30day

Hello everyone! 

I'm so excited to be playing along with the 30 Day coloring challenge again.  

I love, love, love to color! 

Today's coloring projects are for the Papertrey Ink Make It Monday Challenge.  

This week the sweet Mellissa challenged us to use kraft card stock and colored pencils.  

I just love how my projects turned out. 

For this project I stamped just the detail images from the PTI Floral Sketches stamp set on a piece of kraft card stock that wasn't quite big enough for the die. 

 I love when scraps work perfectly for a project!

I then used my colored pencils to finish the image.  

I inked the edge of the first layer of kraft card stock with PTI Fresh Snow ink. 

Then added a layer of PTI vellum card stock. 

And finished with a strip of card stock and twine to finish the card.  

This card I made to send to a dear friend that had surgery yesterday. 

I wish her a very speedy recovery! 

I feel like I went very old school for this card.  

I stamped and embossed the image from the PTI Pretty Peonies stamp set with white embossing powder.  The colored the images with colored pencils.  This stamp set has gotten so much use over the years, but I'm challenging myself to pull out older sets and make sure they see ink. 

I started with a card base make from the PTI Noted A2 die. 

Then layered cardstock and my colored image panel, the die cut and sentiment is from the Pretty Peonies stamp set as well.  

And that is day one of the 30 day coloring challenge!

Altenew February Inspiration Challenge and SSS Wednesday Challenge

I'm spending a few hours this Sunday afternoon home alone while my 

husband and daughter are helping with a fundraiser.  

A perfect opportunity to play along with the Altenew Inspiration challenge and 

the SSS Wednesday Challenge.  

I stamped and masked multiple images for the Altenew Henna Elements stamp set.  

I love how the flowers are so easy to color but look so perfect.  

I needed a sympathy card so I used a die and sentiment from another stamp set.

I am loving the smoky shadow color lately.  

I think it just makes the flowers so vivid.  

This is the inspiration image.

Papertrey Ink February Blog Hop!

Hello, here in PA we were having a heat wave.  It hit 70 yesterday and was very nice this morning. 

My daughter and I headed to town with the puppies and caught a few Pokemon.  Then we had brunch at a little bagel shop on main street.  We were in just long sleeve T-shirts.  This afternoon, the temperature has dropped and its pouring rain and gusty winds.  So much for an early spring!  

I needed a Birthday card for a family friend so I took the opportunity to play along with the PTI blog hop challenge and came up with this card.  

I used a combination of Garden Gate Kit, Don't Forget To Write Kit, Make it Market Mini Kit Color Pop Butterflies and last years Anniversary set.  

I found these colors very hard to photograph and stay true to the actual colors.  

The purple is much darker then it appears on my computer.  

But I think the card turned out just so pretty.

I was so feeling spring in the air yesterday, 

then today, not so much! It's cold again.  

I can't wait to see all the beautiful bulbs popping through the ground. 

I just love the vibrant colors that bulbs product.  

Today I made this card for the PTI Celebration.

Today I used another coloring sheet from Papertrey Ink.  

I love the pretty peonies on this page.  

I used colored pencils to color them.  

For today's challenge I used the layout of this card for inspiration. 

I didn't add embellishments because I want to be able to mail it in a clear envelope.
