Papertrey Ink April Blog Hop

Hello everyone! Just a quick post today to play along with this months PTI blog hope

I had so much fun making this card with the Make It Market Mini Kit Butterflies.

For the background I sponged with fine linen ink, then stamped the Friendship Jar flowers in the same color.

I was just playing with several different stamps and stencils in the kit for the butterflies.

I'm trying to learn how to use a white pen, I'm not sure if it's just me or I can't find a really good white pen where the ink flows nicely without looking blotchy, or seeing where the ball hits the paper.

Thanks for stopping by!

  8. So lovely, butterflies make any card perfect, right? Gorgeous colors and the dotted trails remind me of the stitches in the Inspiration piece.

  12. Oh Joyce...this is absolutely beautiful! Totally love how you used the leaves stamp from the Friendship Jar Flowers set for your background...I am so in love with that set right now and will definitely have to try what you did out! And your butterflies are just gorgeous!! I've had a white Gelly Roll pen for years that I just love and it was very inexpensive too. I have a couple more expensive ones that I never use because they don't work nearly as well as the Gelly Roll one.

  15. Absolutely gorgeous card! I really think I "need" the friendship jar flowers even though I don't have the jar! The only white gel pen that works as far as I can tell is Uni-ball Signo Broad, UM-153, Mitsubishi Pencil Co.

  24. Love the leafy background and butterflies! I like my Signo Uni-ball white gel impact pen the best. I use my Gelly Roll too, but the coverage isn't as good.

  25. Gorgeous! Love what you did with the kit. I haven't opened mine yet. I have Uniball Signo pens, but I'm not really happy with it either.
