The Pocket Source Blog Hop!

Hi everyone and Happy Friday!  It sure is a TGIF for me.  I have been having a week that's for sure so hopefully the weekend will bring good health and cheer for all!

Today The Pocket Source blog is hosting a blog hop. Have you visited The Pocket Source yet?  It's a great new site just for pocket scrap booking topics. You can pop on over to the home page and see what's happening right now. I have found the forum to be awesome, lot's of current topics and a general love of scrapbooking shared every day, you'll need to sign in to chat with us but would love to see you there:)  Or if you prefer to just stop by the gallery it's loaded with tons of pocket pages to get your mojo flowing.  And don't forget to add the blog to your blog roll, they have awesome give aways and lots of great tutorials to help get you started.  Hope to see you there:)
Today I thought I would share with you a look back at my very first pocket scrapbook. I bought my very first kit.  I loved that the one kit had I needed for the entire year, plus extras I'm still using and for a very reasonable price.  Thus began Project 365 in December 2008.  My goal was to take a photo every single day for the year and put them in the album.

And that is exactly what I did that year.  Some days just have the photo and nothing else, but most of the days I did manage to journal something about the photos.
Then I took a little break, ok it was a few year break, but now I'm determined to get photos in albums again.  So this year I've started again with a goal of doing at least two pages of photos in my album along with 12 by 12 pages.
This is the album I've chosen.  Actually I purchased the album a few years ago (2011) while shopping with some friends at Hobby Lobby but life got in the way and I didn't do more then a few pages over the past few years.  So I decided just to continue with this album.  Just adding and making it mine.  Here is the page I'm working on now.
As you can see I'm adding fun stuff into my album.  Cards and letters from friends and pages of photos I just like.  And PenPal photos and letter.  Makes for a fun look back:)
So that's my history of pocket paging.
Do you pocket page?
Link me up, would love to see what you do!

  9. Congrats on getting back into pocket scrapping. I do a weekly spread, but I'm not sure I could do a pic per day. I don't always remember to take a pic :) Have you seen the Basic Grey Attach Me stickers? They're great for adding cards and other papers to your album.

  12. Very cool project! I have often thought about doing the picture a day thing for a year. So much changes in a year. Years later looking back it would be fun to see it day by day in album.

  17. Is this like Project Life? I have a couple friends who use that method for scrapping. I like to do mine the old fashioned way, just wish I could get more time to work on it.

  21. OH I am with you so many years of pictures to get into albums... I am trying to just find a way to simplify the process but that means missing the fun I di like adding fun things in... great Ideas I think I need to do some 3 ring albums, so I can get away from the consectutive way I have done in the past I am ready to just grab pics and have fun !
