A Cherry on Top February Card Challenge

Hey my cheery cherry friends!
Do you have a favorite pie?
This post is really nothing about pies, other than that my favorite is cherry.
And I made a cherry themed card today for the A Cherry On Top February card challenge.

I went vintage and pulled out a kit from 2011 from JBSMerchantile.
I was so happy I found it because this months bonus is cherries, I just knew I had to have some pretty cherry paper.  Not only did the kit have paper but it also had a stamp that had never seen ink!

I started by cutting the panels out according to the sketch.
Then I used the reverse side of the paper to stamp using the stamp.

I added tiny stickers from the kit for the sentiment.

Then adhered the panels to a piece of cardstock from the same kit.

I then added the finishing embellishments of twine, a vintage button and a Webster's pages resin bird.

And that's my card for today.

There really is something for everyone.

Hope to see you there,
Joyce

Sorry, I Frogot! CAS574

Hey my lovely peeps,
Just checking in with todays Splitcoast CAS challenge.
If you are here on Sunday you get a sneak peek!
The challenge will go live a bit later this evening or Monday morning.
You can find all the challenge on SCS HERE.

This week Misti challenge us to use something that leaps.
I am using a frog, but it would be awesome if someone make a leap year birthday card.

I started by stamping this card front using my Misti.
I then stamped the same image on masking paper and fussy cut this cute little frog out.
Once I had t6he mask I used an echo park stencil and impression obsession ink to stencil the background.

I colored the image with copic markers.
I cut the card from using the MFT wonky stitch die.
I use this die so much.  I am pretty sure it's my most used die of 2019.

I added my finished card from to the card base and there you have this weeks CAS card.

I save the mask by keeping it right on my stamp package.

I hope you can join us for this weeks challenge on Splitcoast.

Have a great week!

Vintage Sympathy

Happy Friday Y'all!
I made this card for the Creative Card Chicks group on SCS.

I started by coloring the image with copic markers.

Then I added some black watercolor sprays to add a vintage look.
A few enamel dots finished the image panel.

The paper is Stampin up.
The card base and mat are Kraft.
The dies are from The Greetery.

And that is my project for the day.
Hope you have a fantastic weekend.

Splitcoast Stampers Gnome Place Like Home CAS challenge.

Hey Friend Like Gnome Other!
I'm up at the CAS challenge this week at Splitcoast Stampers and thought this cute little Gnome image reminded me of spring. I desperately am looking forward to warmer weather.  I am a water lover and can't wait to take my first swim on the year.  In the mean time I'll be like this Gnome and simple soak up the sun on the days that I can.

I stamped this adorable image using my Misti using Momento ink.
Luckily I was using the Misti because I missed some area right around his beard. The Misti made it super easy to fix that.

I die cut the image using the MFT wonky frame die.
This image speaks for itself and really doesn't need much more to make the perfect card front.

I die cut a banner then used my Misti to line up the sentiment perfectly.

I adhered the sentiment then added some natural colored twine to add a natural element to the card.

One little red enamel dot by My Minds Eye, My Girl added the finishing touch.

A perfectly spring CAS card.

I'm using this for my CAS card this week but also the Misti Monday Challenge at Splitcoast Stampers. The monthly prize from My Sweet Petunia is amazing! So check it out and play along.

I also am using this card for the A Cherry on Top Guest Designer February Challenge.

I invite you to come to Splitcoast and join us for this weeks CAS challenge.  I hope you enjoy my challenge and my inspiration.

Have a great week!

Some chocolate for my Valentine.

This weeks CAS challenge at SCS is chocolate! My favorite. Well, candy in general really but I can do some damage on some good chocolate!

I started this card by stamping the Unity Stamp Sweeter than Chocolate stamp and coloring with copic markers.

I then decided to try to use the sketch at ACOT, but changed it up just a bit.
I liked my colored panel a little lower.

The paper is from The Paper Source.

I tried to keep it CAS as possible.
I find it hard to use patterned paper in my CAS cards but I think this still works.

I hope you can join us for the challenge this week.

And that's all for me today.
Have a great week!

A girl can only dream....

Of gorgeous spring flowers in the coldest, wettest month of the year! And thanks to the help of the Simon Says Monday Challenge, Floral Frenzy,  this week we get to see lots of lovely flowers!

For this card I used the Simon Says Stamp Leafy Frames kit to make this card for the challenge.  You can find more information on the challenge and to play along by clicking HERE.

I started by first cutting a circle in white card stock and stamped the image with Momento ink.
Then colored the image with copic markers.

I added white wink of stella for some sparkle for todays ways to use it challenge at
Splitcoast Stampers.  I'm also submitting it the SCS Free For all Challenge, circles.

I adhered the 1.5 inch patterned paper from the SSS kit to a piece of cream card stock.
Then trimmed to 4x5.25".
I cut the circle the same size as the circle for the stamped image.
I added the sentiment, tied some twine in place, then adhered the layers together.

I finished the card by adding a flower from the SSS Kit.

And that's my card for today.

Hope you have a great weekend!

Hugs,
Joyce

Splitcoast Stampers CAS Challenge Die Cuts

Happy Super Bowl everyone! I hope your team wins! I'll be in my craft room and enjoying the festivities food.  Eating all the things I don't normally eat.  Any favorite foods you enjoy for parties? We are just having Jersey Mikes hoagies, because they are most like east coast hoagies we can find here in North TX.  Chocolate Chip cookies, buffalo chicken dip, Nothing Bundt Cakes and cheese curls. The best part is I didn't have to do a thing because my daughter invited friends so is making everything! Yay!

I made today's card for the CAS challenge at SCS.  The challenge is to use die cuts.  Of course my die cut machine died right when we have a die cut challenge.  Luckily I have a pile of die cuts just waiting to be used.

My scrapbooking group lost one of our beautiful ladies this week.  So I made this card to send to to one of my friends.  She has been best friends with her their entire life.  She was a beautiful soul and I was lucky enough to know her for the past 10 years or so. We even went to CKC together several times.  She will be missed by us all.

I hope you have a great remainder of your weekend.

Lots of Love.

Joyce
