Simon Says Stamp Monday Blog Challenge

Helo everyone!

It just so happens that today's card share meets the challenges for both Simon Monday Challenge
The Monday challenge is to use die cuts.  Which for this card I used both MFT and Spellbinders dies.

Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Blog Challenge

I didn't realize you couldn't put more then one card in a post to link to the Simon Says Blog challenge so just posting my second card here again:)

Happy Thursday!

Hope you have fun and exciting plans for the weekend.  I'm planning on enjoying as much of whats left of summer as I can!  I've already started switching into Halloween mode.  I think I may decorate my house soon.  At least start getting the fall colored stuff out.

This summer my husband added a little lift to the jeep along with some snazzy new wheels.  The rain hasn't been cooperating so we haven't had the top off much, but I'm still holding out that we might get one more good weekend in.

Now back to our regularly scheduled card post.  How about a bit of green.  Green tends to be one of my favorite colors.  I made these 2 cards for Dare to Get Dirty at Split Coast stampers, and they both used quite a bit of green.  I love this little paper clip.  I keep looking for them but can't seem to find them anywhere!

This one I stamped my own background paper with the same color I stamped the focal image.  I really like how it turned out.

I'm entering these cards in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Blog Challenge
The challenge was to make a monochromatic project.

That's it for me today, see you next week!

Work Space Wednesday

Hi all,
Just checking in from my disaster of a craft room
and thought I would share with you what I'm working on today.

Cutting table

My cutting table is where I'm adding the finishing touches to the altered match boxes I'm making for a swap at 2 peas.
For this swap everyone is making a Halloween themed box with an assigned number.

Stamping Station
This is my stamping area where I stamp the spider and add his legs.

Finished Match Boxes
And these are what I have finished so far.  I have 17 more to go.
I greatly underestimated the amount of paper these little spiders would take.
Now i have to come up with something close to finish them.
Wish me luck!

What's on your work space today?

Down and Dirty Card Post 7

How about a couple of square cards today.

Just a Note

This little mason jar is one of my favorite stamp sets.  I just love how many different things that go in it, or on it or work with it.

Molly-Moo!

I made this card in honor of a friend on SCS.  The little stamp just reminded me of her.
I guess I should tell you her SCS screen name is MollyMoo.
The red card stock is embossed with cherries that matches the patterned paper perfectly.

See you soon:)

Down and Dirty card post #6

Today I thought I would share a few more cards from Dare to Get Dirty at SCS.  One of the challenges was to use the chalkboard technique. Its a very interesting technique, and adds a unique look to your projects.  I made several pieces, then incorporated them into several of my cards.

Sending Thanks
For this card I made use the chalkboard technique sentiment as the focal point for the card.  The butterflies are made using the the polished stone technique then punched with a butterfly punch.  I finished the card by adding pearls and a chunky ribbon.

The Tiniest Things
For this card I layered patterned paper, a doily, sheer ribbon under the chalkboard technique sentiment.  I finished the card with a button and twine.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great week!

Down and Dirty post #3

Hi All!
Hope you are having a wonderful week!
It's shark week, so I've been actually turning the TV on.  My husband thinks its a bad idea as we are going on a cruise soon and plan on swimming in the ocean in open water.
Really I'm hoping to see a shark, just not to up close and personal.
And I've done my research, there is only one shark bite where we are going and it sure does seem like that person was doing something they shouldn't have been doing.

On to today's card share.
This card I made for the challenge at StampTV.
The challenge was to use the Polished Stone Technique.
I am actually quite pleased with how my card turned out, quite a bit better then
the first try with this technique.

Take a look at the challenge, pull out your GKD stamps and play along this week:)

Just had to share my excitement!

made this card for the TCP Tuesday challenge during DTGD last week.  The challenge was to use a tag.  Well as you can see from my last few posts I love tags so this just came together perfectly!  Really the card is clean and simple but with the focal point stamping on the patterned paper, then on the white tag it just pops off the card.  Anyway, I'm posting at 3am because I just couldn't wait to share that I was chosen as Swanky Stamper of the month for The Cats Pajamas stamps

I just recently found TCP stamps and they have already become an addiction.

Be sure to check them out here, or play along with this weeks challenge here and you could be the next Swanky Stamper!

Down and Dirty Card post #1

Hi Blog Readers!
Hope your having a fabulous summer!
Here in  PA it seems like it took forever for summer to get here and today it's already
starting to feel like its turning fall.
My pumpkins are growing but the leaves are starting to turn yellow.  Today I made chicken veggie soup with veggies from my garden.  Fresh carrots, onion and parsley make for fabulous soup!
The orchard at my parents is doing well, mine not so much.

And the garden is doing quite well.

\

Now on to crafty goodness:)
This week I played along with Dare To Get Dirty over at Split Coast Stampers.  It was an awesome week of challenges.  I honestly don't know I did so many.  I ended up making all 41 challenges, and a few extra cards for other challenges and swaps.  I believe my total was 46!

Here is my first Dare to Get Dirty Down and Dirty card.

Be sure to stop back often because I'll be posting as much as time allows over the next few weeks.  I'm thinking it will take me much longer to get them all blogged.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

2 Peas Tag Swap

Hello everyone,
I was so excited to see a fall tag swap over at 2 peas in a bucket.  I love crafting with fall colors.  I made this fun tag for my partner and decided I should send a few extras for her.  Maybe it will get to her in time to use for her tag.

First, this is the tag I made.
I just love how it turned out.

Then I added some extra fun Halloween stuff.

Then I packed it all up in my favorite kraft bag tied with another fun tag.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a fantastic day!
