Indy fun! (With no race cars)

MHi all, I'm in the beautiful state of Indiana staying just outside of the city for a week.  I thought I would try to blog today using the blogger app. I've not had much success in the past so bare with me if I have to fix links when I get home.

It was a long drive to get here, almost 10 hours. My job was easy, all I did was ride, read and snack. And when I say snack I mean I ate everything I could get my hands on! Then I felt like crap and crashed as soon as I hit the hotel room. Well, right after a few minutes in the jacuzzi anyway.

I was most excited for my first day here. This was my first opportunity to meet one of my Split Coast Stamper friends.  We had such a fun day. She picked me up at the hotel for our little adventure.  We started by shopping at Hobby Lobby, then picked up her adorable children for lunch at Applebee's ( it wasn't the boys first choice, but Mom ruled and they survived an adult restaurant! Lol)

Then we went back to Beth's and spent a little time in her beautiful home playing with paper. She is a Stampin Up rep and has stamping get togethers, if you are looking for a rep I highly recommend her! She has stamping get togethers, that I hope to visit this week.

This is Beth and I saying goodbye at the hotel, isn't she the cutest:) love her smile!

That evening we went to downtown Indy for dinner. I was totally expecting New York or Philly kind of grungy city ( don't get me wrong, love them) but Indy is so clean and really pretty.  Parking is plentiful and right on the street. And cheap! We dined at Barcelona Tapas.  I would highly recommend if you get the opportunity. The food was yummy and the white sangria yummier!

Then we walked to subzero. Which is a nitrogen ice cream shop. Very yummy stuff! And fun to watch your ice cream being made right in front of you. This is my beautiful daughter waiting on her cookie dough twin ice cream.  It was yummy!

That concluded our day.  Lots of fun!  Can't wait to head back out tonight to check out more of the area.

Today I'm in the hotel and again playing with paper.  I made this card using the Mojo Monday sketch # 301.

I made this card using Products from a PTI card kit swap. Thanks Carrie for the beautiful kit!

Have a great day! And thanks for stopping by!

  4. Gorgeous card! So fun to get to play even when you are in a hotel!!!

My sis lives in Anderson. We have visited Indy a few time and I agree. It's clean and doesn't have that congested feeling of so many other cities. So glad you are having fun!

My DH gets in the car and starts snacking...he can snack the whole trip. I have learned that's not GOOD for me....I TRY to not to eat like he does because my body just can't handle it but ...road trip does seem to equal snacking for me!

So much fun to meet up with a SCS buddy!!!!

  5. Driving back from Steamboat I munched on a bag of peanut brittle and had an upset tummy the rest of the night. I am too old for that, I guess,
Your trip sounds fun...hope you were able to go to stamp club, too! You and Beth are adorable!
