Celebrating the Past, Present and Future with PTI!

Today Jill and Marie came over to help celebrate!
It was such a fun day, lots of chatting, catching up and eating!
Surprisingly, I managed to get all caught up with the event challenges.

For this card I CAS'ed Dawn's card for my inspiration.

And this is my take on the card.

I actually used the heart border die to make the scalloped edge.

Sorry it's so dark, I didn't want to wait until the day time to upload my cards.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great day!

I {heart Sketches 162

I played along with the fun sketch at I{heart} Sketches today.
I couldn't help but match this little pigs bow tie with some pretty patterned paper for the challenge.

I haven't sewn in a while on a card so I broke out the sewing machine and sewed around the base layer. Then patterned paper and layers.  So cute!

Here is the sketch, and to play along you can find the details HERE

Celebrating with Papertrey Ink!

Hello everyone!
Today over on the PTI blog they are welcoming the new design team for 2017. What a fabulous, and very lucky group of ladies! I can't wait to see all things they make for us this year! Also, on the blog Nicole asked us to share a project we are most proud of.  I'm not sure if I can really say there is one I'm most proud of, I can honestly say this is my favorite project over the past year.

I of course am just in aww of this Don't Forget To Write Kit, it has a permanent home on my work table.  I have yet to put it away.  Couple with Rosie Posie and it's just stunning.

Thanks so much for stopping by!
Have a great week!

Sugar Pea Designs Top Pick December

I was so excited to be top pic at Sugar Pea Designs for December I thought I would share my Christmas tag here as well.  I will admit, Instagram has made me a lazy blogger.  It's so much quicker to post to Instagram and link it to FB that I often forget to take the time to post here.  I'm going to aim to get back to the roots of card sharing and try to post a lot more.  I know I have tons of cards that I haven't posted so I'll try to add a few more each day until I'm caught up.

Now for this post, I had to reclaim the photos from Instagram to post,  and they were already on gifts when I took the photos so I couldn't retake them.  But I think they are awesomely cute anyway:)

I'm going to try to make a few tags a week so when Christmas comes back around I won't feel rushed to get them made.  Let me know how and when you make your holiday tags and card.  I need all the inspiration I can get.

Drum roll Please!!!!
I now get to display this awesome badge on my blog!

Thank so much SugarPea Designs!

Making my own coloring pages.

So many stamps so little time.  But one thing I definitely enjoy is coloring.  So for these cards I make my own coloring pages with stamps I had on hand.

For this first card I used this beautiful floral image from Concord and 9th.  I colored with copic markers and added some white gel pen.  A perfect flat card for mailing.

This was actually a card I made before the holidays.  I couldn't resist this nostalgic set from Inkadinkado.  I'm pretty sure I had a Rudolf and Friends coloring book when I was younger.

Sugar Pea Designs Love

Hello everyone,
I feel like I need to do some catch up blogging. It seems cards I've been making have been going out in the mail very quickly so blogging them hasn't happened.  That and the holidays and I traveled to spend 10 days with a friend.  So life has been busy.

I love this cute little set from Sugar Pea Designs.  I have a thing for cute little penguins and I just love the size of this stamp for the Happy Mail set.   Perfect for coloring for everyone.  I used copic markers to color this penguin and finished the card by adding some sequins.

I love making matching enveloped for my cards.  This set has all the perfect elements to do just that.
I made a few of these envelopes using my Misti Stamping Tool.

The envelopes are colored with colored pencils.

Thanks so much for stopping by and see you soon!

Split Coast Stampers Mystery Image Swap

Happy New Year!

I joined a monthly swap on Split Coast Stampers.  Each month a different Member of the group send out an image for everyone to make a card from.  Our January image came from Imke.  She sent us Avery Elle Sweet Sweet image along with some sequins. I love these fun images and had so much fun coloring them with lots of copic markers.

For this image I added some white dots with a gel pen to the chest of each bird.

And for this card I mixed up the colors just a bit and again added some details with the white gel pen. I also added some white to the straw hut to give it some dimension.
The patterned paper is from Studio Calico.

Thanks Imke for the sweet images!
And thanks for organizing the swap.

Have a great week!

30 day coloring challenge Week 1

challenge_graphic-nov16_16x24

Hello everyone, I'm having so much fun taking the time to color each day.  I hope you can join me.  If you want more information on the challenge visit the beautiful Kathy's Racoosin's blog The Daily Marker.  For several years she has been doing this awesome challenge and it just grows and grows each year.  To play along just upload a card to Instagram or Facebook with the hashtag #thedailymarker30day.  Here are my cards from the first week.

I started with this image in my post card coloring book.
I used spectrum noir colored pencils.

Next up is the beautiful card with dies from Concord and 9th someone had gifted me.
The sentiment is PTI.
I water colored the die cut flowers.

Next up I decided to color these cute little doggies from Sugar Pea Designs.
I just love them!

The Cat's Pajamas challenged us this week to make a tag, or something with a tag.

I just love this kitty in the big sweater, so I made this tag and sent it off to someone with a little pre Christmas gift already.

And I couldn't wait to send some happy mail to my card swap partner, so she should be getting this cute little penguin today.

And I decorated the envelope to send it.

And there you have my first week of coloring for 10 minutes a day.  I think it was a pretty successful week and lots of fun!

Thanks so much for stopping by and see you next week for my coloring adventure!
