Hey, hey campers! 

I'm back with my third day of camp project.  

My inspiration for today's card is all the beautiful leaves that are on our trees right now. 

It won't belong after camp is over that school will be starting and fall will be upon us.

Then the trees will be painted with beautiful fall colors.

Happy camp day 2 campers! 

Hope you slept well and the mosquitoes didn't bother you to much.  

Here at my camp it's a cool 72 degrees, 

and no bugs being bothersome, 

but I did notice several varieties of butterflies gathering on my blooming butterfly bush. 

It's so pretty with the deep purple cones of flowers.  

It did rain this morning so it was nice to stay in camp for today's fun. 

Today's camp project is...

The definition of ombre is the French word for color that is shaded or graduated in tone.

I used ombre in both my background and my stamped sentiment.

Hey campers! 

Welcome to another week of camp create! 

And thanks MFT for hosting another awesome camp week!

I'm so excited to be camping again! 

I even told my husband the cleaning of the bedroom would have to wait until after camp;) 

Today's camp project is to make something monochromatic. 

Monochromatic is just using one color. 

I chose one of my favorite colors, Pink!

MAKE IT MONDAY #257: SENTIMENT STRIP GROUNDING

Hello all, Today I pulled out an older set because of today's sneak peeks for this months PTI release.  I love tea.  It's my go to drink so way back when Tea for Two was released I just had to have it.  So for today's project I made a monochromatic card using the Mehndi Medallion cover plate, that has been in my stash forever as well, but I couldn't use it because I didn't have the metal shim.  I finally ordered the metal shim so I couldn't wait to give it a try.

So here is my CAS card using the Sentiment Strip grouping.

I love the new techniques I learned from SAF.  I find myself wanting to try them again and again.  For the remix I chose to use the gilding challenge.  So far I have made several cards and have gilded a pen for a gift set.  

I'm still loving the MIM kit, Don't Forget to Write.  I have stamped a bunch of different sets of flowers so I can quickly make cards for any occasion.  So fun!

I love the inspiration photo, I so wish my house looked like this! 

I love these colors, and this is the card I came up with.  

I love the Rosie Posie stamp set, I stamped a few extra images when a friend was here stamping for SAF so I would have them. But sadly I already need more.

SAF 2016: COLOR BLOCKING WITH LEXI DALY

Ok, so this doesn't even begin to compare to Lexi's amazing tutorial she did for color blocking, so hop on over and take a look.  It's amazing!  I however could not grasp the concept, or come up with a stamp set I liked to use for her technique.  So I bent the rules just a bit and went old school and used patterned paper, still using the color blocking concept. And I love how Warhol often used fruit in his paintings, and photography.

This was my very last project I took on last night, it was a bit time consuming but a fun study in pointillism.  I think I may have gotten more from this years SAF then I did in my college art history class.  I think this technique is much like many others, you really need to keep using it for it to become something you can master.  Heather offers two examples that are just fabulous!  Check out this years SAF to see them and much more!
