100 X 100 20

And yet another project for today:)

I made this card using this sketch.

100 x100 20

I played along with this weeks StampTV challenge.  The challenge was to keep it CAS.  Clean and Simple.  So that is exactly what I did.  You can't go wrong with the stamp set GKD Stampers Favorites.  It truly has become my favorite.  The sentiment is also GDK from the set Elegant Florals.  If you haven't checked out GKD clear sets recently, take a look.  They are awesome!

100 X 100 18 & 19

Today I'm playing along with the crop at Birds of a Feather.  I managed to get 2 projects done.
The first is a card challenge.  The challenge is to use fussy cutting.
I left it sentiment free so I can add it when I know what I'm going to use it for.

The second challenge was to use the following...

W - Wood Veneer
I - Initials
N - Numbers
T - Two Pictures
E - Envelope
R - Red
I combined this challenge with the Studio Calico sketch.

And this is my page.

I used Studio Calico boardwalk kit combined with SC wonderlust line.

For me the envelope was the hardest item to fit into the sketch.
I'm still not sure the page is finished or if I'll keep the envelope.
We will revisit in a few days.

100 X 100 #16

I made these tags with GKD heavy weight cardstock for the base, and vellum for the top layer. The tag is a silhouette cut.  I added sequins to the base layer. Then stamped the image on the yellow tag with heart blooms onto vellum using white ink. Then stamped the flower with white on wild dandelion cardstock and fussy cut just the large bloom. Finished the tag with gems, seem binding and twin.
For the green tag I used the same method but stamped the image from Stipple Nature in green ink on the vellum.
These tags are for the GKD guest dt call to make a set of at least 2 tags.
Come on over to StampTV and play along with this weeks challenges!

100 X 100 #14

Hello everyone!  I put my Silhouette Cameo to work for this card.  I started by cutting the card base, then added a layer of GKD patterned paper.  I made cut files for the leaves in the GKD Fall Foliage set.  I then cut, stamped and heat embossed the leaves in various fall colors.  I finished the front of the card with ribbon, twine and a button.  The sentiment is on the inside of the card and says "When I count my blessings I count you twice".

This card is for the GKD guest design team call to make a shaped card.

Thanks so much for commenting, your comments really do mean the world to me!

I made today's card for the Stamp TV It's Your Time to Shine Challenge. The challenge is to do whatever you like, but to add something shiny.  I am totally in love with this feather stamp from the Stampers Favorites. I used the sketch from CAS(e) this sketch #59.  The cardstock is GKD elegant eggplant, ink is Momento, PTI button, Websters Twine, and gems from Queen and Co. And Simon Say Monday challenge is anything goes!

Thanks so much for stopping by! Happy Monday!

Spent today putting some photos into an album.  I'm trying to get back to scrapping on a regular basis. I've joined a photo print site to get my photos printed monthly so I don't have to wait to order them.  We will see how that works.

I also spent some time getting my next letter and photos ready to mail to my PenPal.  She has a daughter so I plan on sending some fun things along for as well.

Hope you are having a wonderful Sunday!

This is my ninth card this year made from an envelope swap at 2 Peas In a Bucket.  AJ sent me this cute Stamin Bella, Winlona Loves Winter that I colored with copic markers.  I layered the perfectly matched papers she included and finished with a button and twine.

This card was perfect for the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday challenge, so I linked up there as well:)

Hope you are enjoying winter as well!

Hello everyone!

Today's card is for the first challenge in the GKD guest designer call at Stamp TV.
I just love how awesome GKD sentiments are with the clear sets. I think it's awesome that you get sayings and quotes and not just single words.
The first challenge was to use the emboss resist technique.

I used the small sunflower in the Stately Flowers 5 to stamp and emboss resist the bottom portion of the card. I then hand cut some banners to make a fringe from Grateful Heart 6. I then made a cut file for the large sunflower, cut and stamped it in Momento Dark Chocolate ink and colored with various copic markers. The stamped sentiment is also from Stately Flowers 5. I added a few gems to finish the card. The cardstock is GKD white, and Faded Brick.
The cardstock and patterned paper match perfectly!

Thanks so much for stopping by!

I made this card from a envelope swap at two peas. For the swap you make 2 kits, one to keep, one to mail.  This kit will be headed out to my swap partner Monday.  Maybe she will play along with the MFT color challenge as well.

Thanks for stopping by and have a great week!

4 days in and going strong, although it is 11:05 pm that I'm posting.  Let's hope I can get a few cards ahead soon!

I made this card for the new MFT color palatte challenge.  The challenge is to use MFT colors of pink, black and white.  This card is clean and simple but the colors are so vibrant I think it just works.

Thanks for stopping by and see you tomorrow!

This weeks Make It Monday challenge was to make an angled paper background for your project.  I used PTI patterned paper to make the background, then covered it with velum and finished by sewing the edge with a zig zag stitch.  I angled the card in hopes you would be able to see the velum.  In real life it gives it a soft muted color to the paper.  The stamp and die are also PTI.
Have a great day!

Well 2 days and I'm still keeping to my only resolution this year.  I made this lovely little card with a MFT mask inked with a copic air brush.  I thought I had ordered the stamp set to match but the set I have wasn't of roses.  So I added to my wish list for after my 100 day use what I have challenge is complete.  I love how clean and simple, yet soft and elegant this card turned out.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have an awesome day!

Happy New Year!

So today is the big day!  The very first day of the rest of your life!  What do you plan to do with it?  I'm not big on resolutions, but I do like a good challenge.  So to start off the new year my plan is to spend a little time each day in my craft room.

First, I am taking the 100 projects in 100 days challenge at Split Coast Stampers.  And so far so good!  I have my first project to share with you right now.

This is the first file I made and cut with my Silhouette Cameo.  I'm having so much fun learning how to use the machine and hope to make cut files for all my favorite stamp sets.  These stamps are MFT Happy Harvest, and the little acorn is from Fall Foliage.  I know it looks a little fallish but I tend to make whatever I feel like when I feel like it and just couldn't wait to finally color this little cutie:)

My Second thing I plan to do this year is take a photo every day. I hope to not only take a photo but to print and get them into a book.  I hope to share those pages as I complete them.

Lastly I have a Pen Pal from the Studio Calico Forums.  Her name is Megan and by teaming up we hope to share inspiration to help getting some Project Life pages documented.  How fun is that! I can't wait to get to know Megan.  It's hard to keep from dropping quick emails, but the main goal is to actually have an old fashioned type Pen Pal and get things in the mail to her.

Lastly, I thought I would share with you a few of my December photos.
Ed and I getting ready for a Christmas party.  With the newest member of our little family.

Ashlyn and Jaec sharing a Christmas morning smile.

Quick and Easy Christmas Tags

Getting into the swing of making some Christmas items this week.  Here are a few quick and easy tags I made using Codination's tags for my base.  I stamped the stars in Momento ink using the back side of the star stamps form PTI Everyday Classics. Then added the sentiment in Momento black and embossed with clear embossing powder. Super easy tags yet bright and festive.

I finished them by adding a piece of green May Arts ribbon and PTI twine to tie them onto a package.

Thanks for stopping by and have an awesome day!

PTI Make it Monday #134 Layered Border Die Cuts

Hello again, I played along with this weeks Make It Monday challenge so am doing a quick post to share this project with you.  I don't have many border dies to choose from that really work for layering.  I used my favorite border die form PTI, but have to admit have never used it more then once on a card.  I'll definitely keep this technique in mind when ordering border dies in the future.  I need some border dies that are solid.

Happy Hump Day!

Hope your having a wonderful week!  Fall is in full swing here.  We are enjoying cool mornings and remaining warm sun in the afternoon.  My favorite season by far.  Now if the rain just would hold off until after our local fair we would be all set.

Today's challenge for the Simon Says Wednesday Blog challenge was to use something you find in the Simon Says store and state what  you used. I did one better and linked you up so you can go and do shome shopping yourself:)  Now how easy is that!?  The store has everything!  So I chose to use a Memory Box ornament die to make this holiday card.

I just love how intricate the Memory Box dies are and how well they cut through anything I have tried.  Of course I also use my Vagabond which is just the most awesome machine ever!

I think that is all for me for today, have an awesome day!

So I took the prompt from Jennifer McGuires video on Simon Says Stamp. Simon Says is celebrating Stamptember all month long, if you haven't stopped by check it out.  Lots of fun stuff going on!  This weeks Wednesday challenge is to use embossing.

And here is my embossed projects for some Christmas tag swaps.

Book review

Disposable DivasDisposable Divas by Jim Fetterman
My rating: 4 of 5 stars

Such an interesting read, twists you don't see coming! Great characters! Little light on the mushy stuff that I like, but totally worth every penny!

(insert snappy Tuesday title here)!

Hello everyone!
It's a very somber looking fall day here today.  Very over cast skies and dew still hanging around on the ground and leaves.  Not very motivational.  But I have to admit I love me seasons here in Central PA!
Since fall is in the air I thought I would whip up a fall colored card, with my favorite fall decoration.  Pumpkins, you can find them all over my house from September 1st! Well, minus one this year.  I had a glass jar pumpkin candle on my mantle and it fell and smashed all over while I was running the sweeper.  What a mess!  But I'm sure that will soon be replaced;)  I even have a pumpkin my daughter made in Daisy Girl Scouts still around!

For today's card I wanted to play along withe the StampTV challenge (sewing), the Simom Says Stamp challenge (embossing) as well as the Featured Stamper at SCS (which I used for the layout).  So I combined the three challenges and came up with this card.

I normally stink at combining challenges, but I think this one turned out quite well.

Thanks so much for stopping by and have a great Tuesday!

Enablers List-

Patterned Paper- GKD Grateful Heart

Beautiful Fall Day here in PA!

OK, so it really is a beautiful fall day, unfortunately for today that means I had to wear gloves to go out for my walk this morning.  It was only 44 degrees!  But by the time I got back it has started to warm  up a bit and I was able to shed the gloves.  The leaves and such are just starting to change here.  The corn fields are starting to look brown at the bottom of the stalk and the deer are in full antlers.

This isn't the greatest pictured, but it was as close as I could get with the peacock ruling the roost on the steps.  And I wasn't tangling with them to get a better pic!

My great niece was here for the past few days.
This is her spot in my craft room.  She had to make sure that each and everyone of my wood stamps saw ink while she was here.

I was diligently trying to teach her how to clean them when she used them,
although it was not a successful endeavor!

Have you visited the Simon Says blog this month for Stamptember?
I look forward to visiting every morning!
It's like reading the news paper, only better!
It has good news and pretty art, coupons, and blog candy!
How can you not like that!?

Today Simon asked to share what you have been inspired to make.  So today's share is just a few things I managed to get done between snacks, tubbies and oh so many questions!

This is a post card for a mail art swap.

And this is a card I made for Ashlyn to use for the wedding she went to over the weekend.
And of course I had to take a few photos getting ready for the wedding.
It's not often you can get Jared in dress clothes!

Jordynn did not like the idea of pictures without her.
So once that was out of the way she thought Ashlyn needed a flower, so cute!

And Ashlyn always photogenic with that beautiful smile.
And Jared in his camo tie.

Jared tolerated the  photo shoot asking "does this qualify as our fall pictures?"
We just laughed.

Hostess: Cr8ive M.E. (Mary)
Keyword: SEP13VSNA

This challenge was to use a stamp that is your go to stamp.  I love this Inkadinkado stamp because it can easily be colored, used as a background, embossed or as a focal image.

Unfortunately today I needed to make a card for a friend who lost her father in law yesterday.
