Hello everyone,
I am loving all the fresh spring veggies that are ready in the garden. What I was not ready for was the huge black snake I found in my strawberry bed yesterday! If you have a garden I hope yours stays critter free! Of course my husband is away so the snake is tormenting me. I have seen it 3 times already just walking out to our driveway. I will not be in the gardens until he gets home to do snake removal!
So yesterday I spent the day with a guest. Tiana joined me for the day. We had an eventful day. First we went on a hike with the puppy, tended the flower beds, picked fresh veggies for our lunch then we played along with this weeks Make It Monday.
This is the card she made after watching the video. I had to explain that I didn't have the exact die so she would have to chose a different word.
She did fabulous for her first card.
And then here is my card.
And a close up to show my shading.
Thanks so much for another fun Make It Monday PTI.
Hope to see you all again soon!

ReplyDeleteBoth of your cards are absolutely beautiful Joyce!! Love the shadowing with your sentiments and both of your tulips are just lovely! And how fun to have someone to play along with...she really does look like she's having a great time!! :0)
ReplyDeleteWow, she did a great job on her first card!!! Your card is gorgeous. It sounds like you both had a fun time. I hope DH gets home soon to get the snake, gross.
ReplyDeleteSeriously gorgeous, Joyce. What a fun play date you had - Tiana did a great job also.
ReplyDeleteYou both made lovely cards. Snakes....no thank you!
ReplyDeleteTiana did a great job with her card and sounds like you had a fun day together. Great combination of stamps and dies used on your Hugs card, Joyce. Well done!
ReplyDeleteHow fun that your guest made such a pretty first card! Love them both!
ReplyDeleteWhat fun to have someone to play along with. Nice that you were able to also get in your walk. Both cards are very lovely and I really like the shading. I never thought to do that. I'm with you about snakes. I don't like them at all, but I understand that black snakes are good ones and will go after the critters so I can understand why it was in your strawberry patch. Good luck with that. Maybe hubby could find somewhere in a wooded area to relocate Mr. Blackie.
ReplyDeleteYou both did great! You are a good teacher! As for critters in gardens; that must be why I don't garden! LOL
